"Hard Drive" Music Vlog | Imani Lenz x William Ricker

In this Music Vlog, I perform my song “Hard Drive” while standing beside William Ricker’s book booth — surrounded by stacks of his independently published sci-fi novels, cosplay energy, and community presence.

This wasn’t a stage.
This wasn’t a studio.

It was culture happening in real time.

With B-roll capturing William engaging readers, showcasing his books, and representing Black science fiction storytelling, “Hard Drive” becomes more than a song — it becomes a soundtrack to discipline, creativity, and independent ownership.

The title says it all.

“Hard Drive” speaks to:

  • Storage of memory

  • Retaining knowledge

  • Preserving legacy

  • Protecting ideas

  • Building something that lasts

Standing next to an author who built his universe through consistency and daily effort, the message felt aligned.

This music vlog lives at the intersection of:

  • Independent publishing

  • Black science fiction culture

  • Creative entrepreneurship

  • Live documentation

  • Music as commentary

No set. No script. Just presence.
